The duration of the treatment, vacuum strength and cooling temperature will be determined based on the thickness of the fat layer in question. In order to treat different parts of the body, the Cryo-Shape device works with for different holders, which transmit the cold through the surface of the skin.
The treated area is sucked in by vacuum and cooled down to the necessary temperature. Any damage to surrounding tissue is avoided, becuase fat cells have a special trait of crystallizing and dying off at 4°C (40°F).
By maintaining fat at a temperature from –2°C to 4°C during approximately 1 hour, the fat cells will practically starve.
